Properties

Colorless transparent liquid，with fragrant smell。m.p.-99.8°C，b.p.32°C，flash point-32°C，specific gravity 0.98 (20°C)。Soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, methanol.

Uses

Used as a solvent of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, as raw material of DMF.As solvent of Pesticide carbendazim pesticide. Used as a curing agent in phenolic resin. As fumigant for fruit, and all kinds of tobacco. As the medicine intermediate and sterilization agent. Used as raw material for sulfonic acid methyl pyrimidine, sulfonic acid of sulfamonomethoxine,  Antitussive Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide and other drugs.

Galvanized iron drum or tank. Tightly closed to store,prevent from leaking,avoid rain,sunlight,far from fire and heat source,strictly forbid striking and rubbing.
